Capture every conversation. Trust every transcript.

Heed seen from the front, with the microphone port and the recording light on the face.

Clip Heed to a collar, a lanyard, or a shirt pocket before a client call, a site visit, or a hallway decision. Press once and record for a full working day on one charge.

Review a transcript with speaker labels, a summary that cites the audio behind every claim, and the commitments people made.

Walk out of every meeting with the record you need, and keep the files on your own device.

Prototype stage. First beta units planned for early 2027.

How it works

Take Heed from the first hello to the follow-up.

  1. Wear Heed and forget about charging until tonight.

Clip Heed to a collar, hang a lanyard, or drop the puck in a shirt pocket. Record for a full working day on one overnight charge.

  2. Press once and know you are recording.

Slide the switch, feel a pulse, and see the light. Capture the people around a table from up to three metres away in a normal room.

  3. Sync without babysitting your phone.

Walk back to your desk and Heed moves the day's audio to your phone over Bluetooth. Plug in USB-C and copy the files like a drive.

  4. Review the summary, then act on the commitments.

Tap any claim in the summary to hear the moment behind the claim. Assign the action items, draft the follow-up, and push tasks to your calendar or task manager.

Inside

Look inside the puck.

We print the first hundred cases in nylon and build each unit by hand. Here is what goes into one.

Heed taken apart: the cap, the board and storage, the battery, the tray, and the garment plate.
  1. Microphone port and recording light

Point the face forward on your collar and the light stays on while you record.

  2. Radio and processor board

We record on a Nordic Bluetooth chip that sips power, so the battery lasts the day.

  3. 500 mAh battery

Charge overnight with the same USB-C cable as your phone.

  4. Offline storage

Keep two days of audio on the device when your phone is out of reach.

  5. Magnet back

Clip through a collar or pocket with the garment plate. No pin, no hole in your shirt.

  6. Lanyard loop

Hang Heed as a pendant on days without a collar.

Your data

Keep your recordings, whatever happens to us.

  • Copy everything over USB-C.

Plug Heed into any computer and copy audio and transcripts in open formats. You never need an account to reach your own files.

  • Choose where processing happens.

Transcribe on your phone for sensitive conversations, or in a cloud region you pick for the best accuracy.

  • Record in the open.

We keep the recording light on while Heed records, and we never train models on your audio. Ask before you record, because the rules differ by country and state.

Community

Help us decide what we build.

Vote on the open decisions, from the finish of the first cases to how much storage goes on the board. Read every build update, including the parts that did not work, and reserve a beta unit.

We publish a reason for every status change on the idea board, and what we decided after every vote.

Scope

Know what Heed does not do yet.

  • Capture the far side of phone calls.

Heed hears your side and anything on speakerphone. Calls through earbuds stay out of reach for now.

  • Record from inside a bag or a deep pocket.

Fabric and distance muffle any microphone. Wear Heed on a collar or pocket flap for clear audio.

  • Join video meetings.

Use the desktop companion we are building to capture calls on your computer.

Beta

Walk out of every meeting with the record you need.

We are building the first hundred units for beta testers, planned for early 2027. Reserve one and we will email you when yours is ready.

Planned price $149. Transcripts, speaker labels, search, and export stay free. Pro features planned at about $12 a month.
