We designed the first case in codeThe v0.1 case is a 35.6 by 42.6 by 14 mm puck written in Python with build123d, with a magnetic garment plate and a list of what we have not verified yet.
Community
We build Heed, a clip-on voice recorder, in the open with the people who will wear it. Every hard choice goes to a vote with the trade-offs spelled out, and every setback goes in the build log.
Anyone can read the community. A free member account lets you vote, comment and hold a place in the beta.
Now
How it works
01
Suggest features and back the ones you want most. We publish what we build and why.
02
When we face a choice, such as the clip, the finish or the price, we ask members first and share the result.
03
Follow photos, test results and setbacks from the bench as we build the first 100 units. Every member account holds a beta reservation for the first batch, planned for early 2027. We choose testers by role mix and contribution, not by sign-up order.
What we commit to
Each poll shows its options and what they cost, the result with counts, and what we did about it.
Each build update is dated and names the date of the next one, so you can hold us to it.
When an idea changes status, the reason is public and dated. Duplicates merge with your vote kept.
A beta reservation is not a purchase. If we ever take a deposit, it will be refundable and the terms come first.
Where we are
Open the community to read the decisions on the table, or join the beta to vote and hold a place.
Read everything without an account. Membership is free, and we take no payment for a beta place.
